Expected availability of the Black Shark 5S series
The Black Shark 5 Series which was launched in March this year includes Black Shark 5, Black Shark 5 Pro and Black Shark 5 RS smartphones. According to the report, the company is expected to launch the Black Shark 5S series at least six months after the Black Shark 5 line. The Black Shark 5S devices are expected to arrive by the end of September, the report mentions.
Expected specifications of the Black Shark 5S series
The report suggests that the Black Shark 5S series smartphones are likely to feature a 6.67-inch “pressure-sensitive” OLED display that will also house a central punch-hole for the front camera. Like the Black Shark 5 series devices, this panel is also expected to support Full HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
Both handsets in the Black Shark 5S range are likely to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processors which will be backed by new SSD storage technology, the report suggests.
The smartphone duo is also said to house a triple rear camera with two different main camera setups. The report claims that the base model could feature a 64 MP main camera while the Pro variant will likely feature a 108 MP main camera setup. Additionally, both smartphones are also expected to come with an x-axis linear motor, two linear stereo speakers, and two magnetic triggers.
The Black Shark 5S duo could pack a 4790mAh battery with 120W fast charging support and is likely to boot Joy UI 13 depending on android 12 SE. For security reasons, the smartphone duo may also feature a side fingerprint reader.
