Featured Announcement: Insane AI: Fitness Is Just A Game

The app was designed with the combined efforts of certified fitness trainers, AI engineers, and gamification experts and has been in development and testing for over a year. Tested on over 100,000 registered users across India and Europe, it is especially popular with professionals and athletes for their sports training and conditioning.

The app offers a wide range of guided body workouts such as HIIT, Cardio, Muscle Training, Yoga, Balance and the unique agility exercises. The workout screen is interactive and keeps users engaged with visual cues and live feedback. The app also gives users insight into their training and performance history, making tracking progress simple and intuitive. These workouts are designed to get progressively more difficult as users practice them, making them accessible to both beginners and advanced users, while challenging them to keep improving.

Aiming to stay motivated effortlessly, the app makes fitness addictive. By rewarding every physical activity that users can perform each day, the approach to fitness is gamified using AI and mobile AR (augmented reality). Whether it’s hitting their daily step goals, beating workout high scores, or getting every rep to perfection – Insane makes fitness a game. Users can also challenge others to set up battles and compete for higher rewards. Users earn coins through different activities they perform, which they can spend on all kinds of rewards such as discount coupons for various e-commerce platforms, rare virtual items, and merchandise from popular brands and more via the app. With rapid reward cycles and positive reinforcement, the app makes it easier for users to stay consistent with their fitness journey.

Anurag Mundhada, co-founder, Insane AI said, “These days, many people are intimidated by the prerequisites for being fit. Whether it’s finding the perfect gym, making time to work out, high training costs, or finding the right trainer, all of these things are obstacles. But more importantly, the physical motivation itself is flawed. Historically, being fit was a by-product of daily activities and linked to other sources of motivation. Now most people find it difficult to stay in shape because there is no incentive to be in shape. The Insane app is created based on these two ideas. It makes the process of starting your fitness journey convenient, incredibly rewarding and positive – and it’s free to use!

Jayesh Hannurkar, Insane AI Co-Founder and Product Manager said, “Insane is designed for everyone and offers various reward cycles designed to strike a chord with every personality type of user. For many people, ownership is a strong motivator and they are drawn to owning a virtual avatar and limited edition digital items. Over the next 2-3 years, we aim to grow this idea and transform Insane into a one-of-a-kind fitness metaverse based on stories, content, and scenarios..”

About the Founders

Jayesh Hannurkar graduated in Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay. He worked at Sony Japan on several high-end camera projects. Most notably, he was part of the 5-member team that conceptualized and deployed the first frontal depth sensor on mobile phones – the same sensor that lets you record and animate 3D Animojis on your iPhone and your high-end Android devices. Jayesh holds several patents to his name in the field of camera technology.

Anurag Mundhada is also a graduate in Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay and a serial entrepreneur. His first venture was in preventative healthcare where he built a digital platform to improve the accessibility of diagnostics, with the ease of home testing, cloud reporting and consumable patient information.
