MKBHD’s blind smartphone camera test is back – here’s the winner
Thus, after a draw, each device was opposed to another. In the first round, we didn’t have a lot of surprises other than OnePlus 7T Pro beating the iPhone 11 Pro. The Apple phone did indeed take a worse picture with very poor white balance; basically the image had a blue tint. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7T Pro took a warmer, sharper shot.
We then had the Samsung Galaxy S10e beating the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and the Redmi K20 Pro doing better than the Huawei P30 Pro.
In the second round, fans had to choose the best photo of a bottle of hot sauce in indoor conditions. Here, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, Samsung Note10 +, Samsung Galaxy S10e and Google Pixel 4 won against their opponents.
The next round, smartphones left in the challenge were to take a photo of a Tesla Roadster diecast model. This time the Note10 + and S10e beat Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Google Pixel 4 respectively.
Finally, in the last round with just the two Samsung phones left on the table, the top-of-the-line Note 10+ was picked as the winner by a 67% margin. Make it the best phone MKBHDcamera blind test challenge.
That said, the Youtuber himself admitted that the various winners probably weren’t chosen by fans for taking better photos. Instead, he noted that generally the brightest image wins the showdown. The same goes for focusing, images with a larger area of focus came out winning. So, you might want to take the end result with a grain of salt.
