As Appletech giant Google has now asked developers to create more apps for its new launch Pixel Watch based on Wear operating system (OS).
In his android Developer blog, the company has highlighted apps for Pixel Watch.
“Now is a particularly good time to get your app ready to look great on all the new watches consumers put in their hands,” according to the Android developer team.
Every year, Apple releases new features that developers can use after product launch.
Similarly, Google now wants more seamless messaging integration between hardware and the OS and development platform team.
The Pixel Watch features the latest platform enhancements – Wear OS 3.5, according to the company’s preview.
It also mentions app development tools, including Compose for Wear OS and the Tiles Material library, with a strong focus on contemporary design.
Also highlighted is Android Studio Dolphin’s update with improved dial, tile and complication testing experiences, according to the report.
Recently, as part of the Pixel Watch rollout, the company specified that the Wear OS device would get at least three years of updates.
The company said that “software updates include Google Pixel Watch security updates, and may include feature removals and other software updates”.
As part of the Pixel Watch rollout, tech giant Google said the Wear OS device will receive “at least” three years of updates.
The period will begin “from the time the device first became available on the Google Store in the United States”.
